Attested Accounts
Attested Accounts will seal invoices, quotes, expenses and other financial records created in the Business Village, so a practice or client can later show what a record said and when it was written — independently of the platform's own word. It has not been built: the sealing mechanism runs today for other products from the same company, not yet for financial records.
- Key Takeaways:
- Attested Accounts has not been built. When it is, every write to an invoice, quote, recurring-invoice template, expense or time entry will be Ed25519-signed at the moment it happens, using the same sealing infrastructure this company's other products already run today.
- It is designed as an evidence layer alongside the Business Village's existing accounting features — invoicing, quoting, recurring billing, time and expense tracking, receipt handling — not a new accounting system built from scratch.
- There is no free tier and no public self-serve signup for Attested Accounts. Access, once built, will be arranged directly.
What it will add to records you already keep
The Business Village already carries the accounting capability a small entity needs. What Attested Accounts is designed to add is that a financial record, and the actions taken on it, become checkable later by someone who trusts neither the practice nor the platform on its word alone. Once built, each write will be signed at the moment it happens and anchored so that altering a record afterwards is detectable — the same property this company's other products already carry today, applied to financial records specifically once the work is done.
Who this is for
Accounting and bookkeeping practices responsible for client records they did not personally create; small businesses, charities, incorporated societies and trusts that need to be able to explain a financial record's history later; and anyone adopting AI-assisted bookkeeping, reconciliation or invoice-processing tools, where the question of who — or what — changed a record becomes harder to answer without something recording it.
What this is not
Attested Accounts is not an accounting system, a bank, an audit opinion, or a source of accounting advice. It does not replace the Business Village's existing accounting features or any other accounting platform — it sits alongside the operational record as an evidence layer. Nothing here should be read as a statement about whether any particular record is accurate, lawful or complete; sealing shows a record has not been altered undetectably since it was signed, not that what it says is correct.
Who built it
Attested Accounts is a planned product from My Digital Sovereignty Ltd, the New Zealand company also responsible for the Village community platform, the AI Visibility Auditor and MIO° Conduct Record. Once built, it will share their sealing and timestamping infrastructure.
